Not possible I'm afraid. Licenses are controlled as part of the MMI operating system, nothing to do with "coding"

Thanks for that. Saves me doing it. Mine is only a month out of warranty. Any idea how much it is to purchase it?

I think Audi need to make this easier and cheaper to update. There’s also an element of safety related to out of date maps.

I was travelling back south yesterday and where the new A14 has opened up joining the A1 with the M11, not having the new road included leads to the adaptive cruise control doing dangerous things. It’s okay for those of us that are technically minded and understand how it works but that’s not most people!

Having recently purchased a used A6 Avant (2016) C7 with RMC MMI and 2016 SD Map, I was a little disappointed with the Audi MMI interface and the annual cost at upgrading the Maps. After trawling through the internet I came across Integrated Automotive UK and their retrofit device to allow Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Granted I've had to fork out the £445 but I can now use the updated SATNAV maps via Android Auto and it integrates seamlessly with the Audi OEM setup.
