Hi Guys, new Q7 4M arrived a couple months back, looking at a few mods. first up changing rear dynamic lights for tinted version. I have the lights, us the rear plastic trim cover inside the boot easy to get off, does it just pull off and held on by clips?

cheers and looking forward to trawling through the forum for any other bits i can do.

It is easy to get off the boot trim. Couple of clips and 2 screws in the warning triangle recess, as I remember. However to install it back you will need help of another person. Otherwise it is difficult and you you risk bending the fastening clips.

Welcome Chrome.. Congrats on the Car.

Yep just like Retom said.. 2 bolts behind Warning triangle (but you may find they aren't there) then use a small screwdriver and plastic trim tool to prise out the little lights and the boot close switch and disconnect them. Then give it a good pull down (as the boot will be open above you) and it will come down.

Gravity plays a part here so as Retom says, a second pair of hands is advised.

Reverse the steps to put it back.
