B6 Intake System Drive Unit With Rotary Valve 06C133611

Top front of engine, looks like 2 actuators working together. Am assuming something to do with vacuum?

Asking as one of the actuator arms has snapped so wondering what will be effected by this?

Thanks Crasher, even though one part of it’s snapped it seems to be working correctly at present. I’ve looked and they’re about £340ish new

if it it stopped working, or only one side/actuator worked would I notice it straight away? Or could it damage the engine?

I would disconnect it as it will make one bank act differently to the other.

It alters the length of the path the intake air follows which affects the way the power is delivered, a tuned length inlet manifold.
