    Hi There
I am currently driving an 01 1.4 and the front left wheel bearing has gone. Elsa shows how to do it on the car with a special press.

As i don't have that i am just making sure there is no pitfalls or traps or special tools required in removing the strut and driving the bearing out and new one in again on the bench?
I did a quick search and nothing came up, which i am taking as a positive.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stewart

I have used the special tool in situ, only once because it's rubbish, took me twice as long as whipping the strut off. Just use a quality wheel bearing is my advice. You can just take the carrier off and there is a spreader tool to help this process. But I find it's easier and quicker to take the complete strut off.
