    Hi All,

I have a engine light on my dash, i wanted to check the sensor and clean if possible, however i cant locate it for the life of me!

The part on the part site clearly looks like something that connects to the air flow tubing in between the engine and the air filter, however theres nothing that looks remotely like it. There are not sections between that area that have a eletrical wire coming from it, let alone a actual MAF unit.

I did get the car from a dealer and not soon after the engine light came on. It was never an issue before really as MOT would pass but now new rule is a fail. My engine is running rich so it could relate to the sensor, im starting to wonder if the dealer sold it to me without a sensor but anyone ive talked to said that is highly unlikely.

Still... i cant fine a clear location for it if it does exist on my air flow system. Any help or advise would be hugely appreciated.

Can send pictures of current under hood if needed.

    Thanks all.

Is there a MAF on the 1.6 engine (not just yours )? How about checking the manifold pressure sensor (MAP)?

Have you looked what codes are triggering the MIL?
