Give us a current fault code report, the make and part number of sensor and where you fitted it.

Hi Crasher, Thank you, if you were local I would say hello one day you are more than helpful and it is appreciated.
Current code is simply 01348 can bus interior monitor lamp (K162) sometimes it throws up G235 but not currently.
The part is of dubious source but I have used their parts before on my other Audi cars fine. part number is 03L906088BS make unknown THH?
It looks correct and is the black plug. sensor 1 bank 1.
Fitted twice now in that awful place under everything where it is not really possible to even fit a spanner...manifold before turbo....grazed arms and chest from laying on the engine haha.
The 2nd was supplied on warranty. Both times I could unplug the harness plug the new sensor in (though not fitted) and clear the fault code, start it run it no fault lights with new sensor plugged in not installed. If I plug the suspect fitted one back in the fault light is immediate...clear it and it comes back on in seconds. This all seems to point to the sensor either failing in a few hundred miles or it not being a good match?
After fitting the 2nd one I drove it for about 20 miles to regen. and cleared the DPF light......all seemed good, 400 miles later the glow plug light and MIL light come back on and codes are back to the very start!...that sensor? if it is driven much the DPF light will no doubt be back due to it not self cleaning.
