    Hello all

    Got an issue 😡

Under full throttle in 1st & 2nd when the turbo kicks kicks in the car gets loud and a vibration I can feel through the accelerator pedal. Normal driving is fine. Will pick up nicely at 1/2 pedal acceleration just when foot to the floor.

The noise Sounds like exhaust is blowing/ load diesel. And feels like it’s coming from passenger side of the engine or possible central.

    It’s a 2010 2.0tdi 170ps

    Any suggestions?

Difficult to say if it is the same, but I posted recently about a noise I get at ~2k RPM mainly in 1st / 2nd: Can anyone identify this noise on BKD engine?.

Proposed as being Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF), which makes sense as it is noisiest when engine is driving hardest. If I'm at level speed or press clutch there is no major load on engine and noise stops. Noise comes from area you describe, and DMF is on lower left of engine on way to clutch / gearbox.

I thought DMF. It's only 1st and 2nd gear so probably something transmission related. I forgot to say it's a Manual if that makes a difference.

The strange thing is the noise seems to only happen when the weather is bad, when driving in heavy rain when the roads are really wet. It's dry now and the noise seems to have sorted it's self out.

run a scan see if the engine mounts are ok - check your inner CVs for play.
