    Hi guys,

I have a second hand c7 Avant and noticed in the logbook it has had the emissions fix done. I am getting really poor (30ish MPG) economy driving on the efficiency setting, motorway mostly and driving like my nan!

Could it be this fix and is it reversible?

    Thanks

When I had my 2013 2ltr fwd C7 avant done I didn't see any noticeable difference in the mpg to be honest. Mine was a multitronic, so was never great on economy. I averaged low 40s. My FL 3ltr quattro s-tronic avant is actually better on fuel, averaging about 7-8 mpg more on the same journeys.

It's non reversible I'm afraid although I'm told a good tuning shop can negate it, choose carefully though. For info mines was a 2013 multitronic and I got an average of 47mpg, so something is obviously amiss. Please don't think I'm being an **** but, you're not trying to drive it like a hot hatch are you?

Hi, no worries. Definately not driving it like a hot hatch. Stuck on cruise control most of the time. Amazed you managed to get 47.... will try Waddie's premium fuel and see if I can get it carbon cleaned. The previous owner was elderly... maybe I need to drive it like a hot hatch for a day to see if I can burn off any carbon myself...

Comment from me; driving on the cruise control will not give you the best economy; better to drive manually to take advantage of coasting etc.. I get regular c47-8 mpg from the onboard computer... and a few mpg less when checking manually/brimming the tank; 2013 2.0 TdI etc...

There must be some remappers out there who have copies of the original 'as built' factory map from when they proceeded to remap customers cars? If it all went tyts up, at least they have something to restore....
