The mmi oil level indicator is crap,(what are you thinking of audi)obviously this has been done to death on the forum!!!,my question has anybody got the measurement for the generic dipstick so I can get a more accurate level when doing an oil change, the engine is a CGLC 2.0 tdi, need the distance from the hilt to the min and max levels,my sons mk6 golf will fit down so I just need the distance so to dip it,also digging around on the web I see it takes 5 litres what your experience in the real world, regards.

Engine oil capacity is 5 litres with the filter changed

Thanks for the reply,I've got a dipstick of a mk6 golf and need to know what the distance from the top clamp(hilt) down to the high mark and then to the lower mark in mm so I can transfer it to the other dipstick so as to get a reasonably accurate reading,I would appreciate it if you could measure it for me,regards.
