Hi there guys & girls, I wonder if anyone can help.
My wife's polo has developed a power steering fault. When you drive the car the steering is light and precise as normal, but when the revs drop & you try to park the steering is soooo bloody heavy.
I have scanned it with a cheap OBD reader & no faults come up, even though the steering light on the dash is lit yellow. I would think any reader should be able to read a fault as obvious as this.
I've checked the battery & it's fine & so is the power output on the alternator. It's baffling me, I don't know anyone in South Wales with VCDS, so any help is appreciated, thankyou.

Try Gumtree and maybe Ebay for someone with Vcds in your area. Theres no comparison with a cheap reader and Vcds, youll be missing loads of info.
