Right so I have a 2002 bora bought second hand and there has been a multitude of issues starting with the alternator failing on the way home from buying it and lastly the nearside drive shaft falling off if you can believe that....anyway fixed all that but there is a few problems got me stumped and I'm assuming they are linked.......first of all my front passanger door wont work on central locking but does unlock and lock with the key, also the front passenger window is a bitch to get up, goes up three quarters of the way then stops and comes back down and can only be shut with the palm of the hand helping it, and lastly whenever I unlock my boot all the windows unwind which can be slightly annoying when in the process of getting my grandson out and having to re-enter the car to close them all again. I understand that it is a common issue with the windows all coming down with the remote usually being the problem but mine doesn't have a remote so it just unlocks on the key.

I don't pretend to be a mechanic but I can cope with most things. don't know if it's related but the car was very damp when I got it and did require a lot of drying out...

any help would be really great, thanks in advance

The door will probably be a failed actuator, can you hear it move when you try it with the remote? The window has a safety feature where it will go down if there is too much resistance - like a hand or head in the way. The window may be slightly askew or the mechanism might be worn or the sides are too dirty. No idea about the other issues.
