I've had to clean/polish my headlights with a bit of success, but will be redoing them this weekend weather permitting. Question, once polished to within an inch of their life, do you guys treat them with a clear laquer or sealant to prevent them fading again?

Or would sealing them eventually burn off over time?

I use the Maguires kit followed by the Optima restoration wipe kit which is frankly bloody marvelous although I use one kit per headlight. You MUST keep them warm and dry for at least four hours and do not touch until dry or try to apply a second coat until fully cured which is a few weeks. When fully cured, I treat them to a coat of Rain X as I found the coating did not bead particularly well and on Mrs Crashers 06 Polo GTI, after a second coat and Rain X they look almost like new.
