Hi Everyone,

New to the forum, I’ve just bought an a6 c7 s line ultra on a 14 plate.

Been looking at MMI variants, I have the RMC system with standard sound system and DAB/Sat Nav already installed, along with monochrome DIS.

Ive been doing lots of research on MMI upgrades and colour DIS swaps. I’ve got an Audi specialist that will sort out CP.

However I am confused with all the 3G, 3G+, MIB2 and other MMI variants that get chatted about.

What parts do I need to install the larger MMi screen and possibly enable the CarPlay retrofit later on? Part numbers would be a bonus as there seems to be many types.

Pfl has the mmi 3G/+, think the plus bit was the Audi connect and SIM card. Fl came with the 4g unit which is the mib.
Carplay only works with the later mib2 units and if your car didn’t have it out the factory you will need a hacked unit.
