I have a battery light just come on , and I know my battery is ok , I assume its alternator related but will check tmrw at the local garage . Alternator fitted is Valeo 14v 180 amp . The only part numbers I was able to see were (large numbers ) 032903023 and (smaller numbers) 311017451 .
Can a Bosch alternator be fitted in its place or are the connections different ? many thx . I have found a used Bosch one from same Vehicle , still unsure if connections will be the same

They were randomly fitted with Bosch and Valeo during production and are interchangeable in the instances I have done, I would not fit anything Valeo willingly, their reliability in all products is appalling.

Update : fitted new Bosch alternator , new coolant thermostat and new alternator belt . I have since noticed much better fuel consumption , and ofc brighter lights . I decided Bosch replacement as an alternative to the Valeo unit that was fitted , and many thanks Crasher .
