Hi. I've been having a problem with my 2002 Leon MK1 and vibration when braking. The rear brake discs were pitted and pads worn so have been replaced. The front pax side wishbone had movement so was replaced. The wheel alignment has been done. The front brakes look fine, plenty left on the pads. Still having the problem. Could it be warped discs on the front? I think from memory they are 2-3 years old. Any easy ways to check this? Thanks.

It is a common issue with the 288mm discs on the PQ34 platform, you need a dial gauge.

What you MUST do is also check the hubs for run out, especially on the outside edge of the wheel bolt holes, it is hard to find a spec but I once read (and can no longer find) the maximum disc outer edge runout on a car with ABS is 0.03mm..... which is not a lot! On a hub, you need to see absolutely no runout at all.

Replacement hubs are of an improved design
