Guys need a quick bit of help - what’s the difference between the two?

Do they both include an oil change or is this the interim service?

Cars in and needs both I’m being told and I can’t work out if I’m being overcharged etc

Mileage is dictating Inspection - no issues - should that though include oil change? Some places I read it does but I’m being told that it also needs the oil change which is Interim Service...therefore need both?

    So I’m totally confused

I've had 2 x oil changes in 3 and a bit years and 40k miles.

Not sure. I had 2 x 'free services' included in my purchase price. One of those was an inspection but did include oil; the second was an inspection/service but required me to pay for parts (labour not charged)

It’s very confusing because I’m being told I need both...I’ve said fine and agreed a price but waiting for Audi CS clarification.

Also disappointing that my dealers have pulled out of fixed price servicing hence a little negotiation saving a £120 on initial quote

Edit: Inspection service does not include oil change as confirmed by Audi CS. However some service centres may do this as part of the inspection service

So umm this will actually make me think more about using independents now rather than my main dealer (which I know I could’ve done this time but have always done servicing etc through main dealer for various reasons) - shame for them really

... it's madness when there's no uniformity between Audi Dealerships, it's so fragmented

I think we will need to vote an maintain a nationwide list of best rated independents up and down the country on here at this rate..LOL

My understanding is that Interim/Minor service = oil service; full/major = oil service with inspection.

Audi Service plan covers two consecutive services (a minor and major in my dealership's term) which Audi's official words are:

    1 x Oil Service:
    - Vehicle health check

1 x Oil service and inspection
    - Pollen filter change (if required)
    - Full Vehicle inspection and report to include all lights, instruments, glass, braking system etc.
    - Full vehicle road test
    - Vehicle health check
    - Spark plugs (if required)
    - Fuel filter, where required
    - Air filter, where required

How much did you pay? for 3+ year old vehicle, the official Audi quote are £210 for Interim/Minor/oil change, and £399 for Major/Full/Oil+inspection
