    Hi Ladies and Gents,

I wonder if someone can give me a couple of pointers when dealing with VW customer service.
My OH bought an approved used Golf seven months ago, it was just under a year old at that time. She has recently noticed that the heated rear screen wasnt really doing anything (only just starting to use the HRS due to weather) and as the DAB reception was poor and there is a problem with the coming home lights not always working we booked it in to our local dealership.
We have just been informed that the element in the rear screen is "delaminating" and that VW had refused to replace it under warranty because they have deemed it to be a wear and tear item.

The guy in the service department was quite appologetic and said he would give us the details to contact VW customer care but if theyve already refused to honour it I dont see us getting anywhere.

    Any suggestions?

Is it really delaminating ie the element coming away from the glass? As the radio is also having issues I would suggest that there may be a faulty earth in the tailgate loom or similar.

Failure of the wiring in the body to tailgate loom is becoming a huge issue on the Golf 7.
