Legend Andy, thanks for the info! Always interesting to get to the bottom of things... Good luck to you guys who is lucky enough to own the facelifted Qs so early, hope the issue gets sorted smoothly and quickly and you get to drive a fun loaner in the meantime!

Thanks Andy, really helpful and certainly sounds serious.
My Q7 is still sat on the drive waiting for recovery. Using the Q5 in the meantime.

I’ve heard the brake pedal clang now. That’s really bad, it would drive me mental if I owned the car. Incredible they’ve still not found a fix for it.

It sounds like a tin can pinging when you release your foot off the brake.

Is this a right-hand-drive-only issue? Our 2019 Q5 doesn't do this - or I haven't noticed if it does. If we ever get it back from the body shop I'll listen out for it. Maybe next week if I'm lucky

I'd not be happy if my car made that noise...

Don't go listen out for it.. once you noticed it, you will always pick it up in the future lol..
Got a 19-plate Q5 loaner today, the pedal definately clanging if you release the brake fast and can be picked up really easily, so Audi definately has not resolved the issue at least here in the UK.. To me, it sounds like the kind of metalic clang some cheap springs make when retracting..

Dealer emailed me today, they’re still waiting for the modified trim to arrive from Audi so no point them recovering the Q7 until this arrives. They’re hoping it’ll arrive early next week
