This is the third time this has happened, i've been driving and i suddenly lose all of my throttle and the check engine comes on. The other times this has happened the battery light came on too, so i replaced the battery in hopes that that'd be the end of it, but today the same thing occured. Also other times the check engine light would just randomly go out. Scanned the car and the two codes (i believe dtc) that came up are 833 which had no info and 532, which said voltage supply signal too low.

Are you getting similar low voltage codes in other control units such as the air bag and ABS? Which engine type code do you have as your USA model will be Mexican built and significantly different to a UK model?

Im getting no other codes except that. And as for the engine type code I'm not too sure what you mean by that.

A CBFA to be pedantic, which is an early EA888 engine...

On these engines, code 16725 (P0341) - 000833 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Implausible Signal can be very bad news so I would first of all get the condition of the timing chains checked and also remove the sump (pan) to check for sludge in the oil.

Did you get 00532 in the engine only or other modules as well?
