Hi all just brought a 2002 1.9tdi golf
Noticed driving home which took me 3 hours to do 45 miles.
the heater was hot but the engine seemed to be running rather cool about 80c which isn’t a major issue in itself.
At first I thought thermostat and the pipes do feel luke warm even when I’ve only done 6 miles
When I got it Home and noticed both radiator fans running when I turned the climate control off the fans went off

Any ideas what it could be both fans were running but they didn’t seem high speed and weren’t noisy

Just to let you know the heating wasn’t on econ and it must have been running air con hot seems to be a lot better low. The fan control unit I brought will keep for a spare as the bolts are seized anyway lol
