Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone had 225/50R17X8 with ET35 tyre/rim setup on his Audi A6 C6? I have A6 2007 sedan model with 2.4L V6. My standard setup is 205/60R16X7 and upgraded setup would be 225/50R17X7.5 ET35. The 3.2L FSI version had upgraded setup 255/35R19X8,5 ET38.
When checking on "willtheyfit.com" my upgraded setup would be slightly smaller and narrow on top then the upgraded setup of a 3.2FSI. I wanna put on some JR21 rims 17X8 in platinum red but the problem is that they don't make them 7.5 wide so I was wondering if 17X8 would fit or would that be too wide!? To me it looks like they should fit and that this would be the maximum I could go with. But I would really like to hear what other people think and if somebody already had such a setup on his A6 C6.
    Greetings from rainy Norway

Hi, i haven't had that size but I'm quite sure they would fit. Ive had 20x9 et42 with 255/30 tyres and they fit. Im currently on 20x9 et35 with 245/35 but rubs ever so slightly on the arch liner on the back going over big bumps but only with full car and boot.

On that basis I'd be very surprised if your setup would rub.

Going by the site below (this is the one I use to compare sizes) it looks fine.

    http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Suspension clearance: Package 2 is 10 mm (0.4'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Fenders clearance: Package 2 will stick out 10 mm (0.4'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.
Wheelwells clearance: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 3 mm. Almost no difference
SPEEDOMETER: When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 60.6mph (97.6km/h): 1% faster
Current- A6 C8 40 tdi quattro s line Daytona Grey
    Gone-S3 sportback, A6 C7 biturbo saloon,A4 B 8.5 avant, A6 C6 3.0 tdi Quattro saloon, A6 C5 2.8 Q Avant

Thnx for your answer guys. Now I am more confident that they will fit and not rub on the arch liner. I will order rims next week but since they're going to be for Summer tyres, real test will be in 4 months.
