When my 2003 A4 2.0 FSI saloon DMF failed (186,000 miles so can't grumble) I decided to replace the car.

I'd had a towbar fitted a couple of years before by Indespension and have hardly used it.

Recently I bought a 2008 A4 Convertible 1.8T. I understand these to be the same platform as the older A4. Does anybody know if the towbar should transfer to the convertible please?

Indespension fitted a small control unit - Obviously I kept that too. I'm assuming this would be to ensure the indicator buzzers work and to stop the bulb sensors from being confused when the trailer is fitted. It was Scotchlocked in and had screw terminals for the trailer electrics. I'm assuming I'll need the controller and will have to install it in the same way?

Thanks
