    Hi everyone,

Wondering if some of you could help shed some light on a park assist problem I've been having for while now.

About 2 months ago the parking assist (just sensors) system stopped working on my A7 (2012). Put the car in reverse and get the long high pitched tone followed by a graphic of the car on the MMI screen with no distance markers.
Since then the system has been working intermittently, its certainly more not working than working, but occasionally the system does spring into life for a few seconds then goes off again.
Had it scanned with a friends VAGCOM and got a few codes related to faulty sensors which I checked and replaced, but still the issue is not resolved and the sensor codes are now gone.
I'm also getting the following code which is related to the buzzer or speaker:

    Fault Code:
    1080340 - Parking Aid Speaker
    B107C 14 [009] - Open or Short to Ground
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00000001
    Fault Priority: 3
    Fault Frequency: 9
    Reset counter: 145

So with this info I replaced the rear parking assist buzzer behind the vehicle rear right passenger column with a new buzzer, but still get the same issue and intermittently the system works.
The front buzzer is still the original as i get the high pitched error tone from this one - so I'm thinking this one should be ok?

I have also made the following observation:
When the system periodically does work - if i go into the park assist menu, select the front sensor 'volume' or 'frequency' and turn them up or down the front buzzer/speaker works fine no problems and adjusts the volume and frequency as selected.
In the same working session if i select the rear sensor 'volume' or 'frequency' settings from the park assist menu and change say the volume to even 1 step higher/lower the system immediately faults and I get the high pitched buzz from the front buzzer - system goes off again.
Finally - I can't hear anything from the rear buzzer/speaker at all, this was the same for the original speaker and the brand new replacement I've just had fitted.

Any ideas? - driving me around the bend! - I've attached a picture of the code also if it helps.
    Thanks alot guys!

    Bradley.

If you’ve replaced it with a new rear speaker the. I’m going to hazard a guess and say it’s a Wiring issue? Have you looked at the live data to ensure you are getting valid data from all the sensors etc?

Yes I got distance reading from all sensors when I plugged the computer into it, so I’m pretty sure the sensors are all reporting data back, as you said could be wiring in that case and it’s intermittently broken so could ring true. Thanks for the advice
