    Hi There
I have an Audi A3 2.0tdi 2009. Last week the car had problems starting but eventually did after 20 minutes or so. Today when I have gone to start it, the same thing happened. However this time it hasn't started at all. Dash lights come on as normal but when starting it, it does not crank over and the dash lights stay on. After plugging it in it comes up with code P2015. We deleted the code but just reappears straight away again. The actuator arm is moveable which is why I dont think it's the switch??? Has anyone had any experience with this? Any advice would be greatly received.
    Many thanks

That code is irrelevant to the not turning over, firstly, get the battery on charge.

Sounds like your starter motor might be goosed.

You need to jump a wire between the battery + to the starter solenoid, by-passing the ignition controls, ( make sure gearbox is in neutral first ) if the engine doesn't turn over the starter motor will need replacing.

The starter is controlled by the central convenience unit which is commanded by CAN BUS signal from, the steering column electrics unit which gets signals from the ignition switch, these switches often fail so I would get it code read and measuring block tested first.
