Auto lock - feature missing?

Evening all - sorry for all the q’s. These new cars are wayyy too complex for me!

Hopefully an easy one. I’m trying to activate auto lock so the doors are secure when I drive above a certain speed (think it’s 15mph)

In the manual it says to go to settings - central locking and within there it should be a feature called ‘auto lock’. However it’s missing!

All I have in the central locking section is

- doors to lock (drivers only or all)
- boot lock / unlock
- folding mirrors activate or deactivate

It specifically lists ‘auto lock’ in the manual on this screen but there’s absolutely no sign of it.

Any clues??

Weird, if your car is a UK Spec car this should be on by default. Its just a single bit change in one module to turn it on - then it will appear in your MMI. Is your car an old(er) Q7 4M or a brand new 2019/2020 one?

Thanks. It’s a 69 plate 2020 model

The feature is completely missing from the MMI even though it references it in the hand book.

Looks like it’s the first trip to dealers. Annoying.

Yeah mate. Unfortunately so. If you look at my coding thread in this forum and scroll down to 'Lock when driving' that's the coding they need to check / enable.

What a bizarre situation
Spoke to the dealer who has never heard of this issue before. He’s speaking to technicians and coming back to me.
I hope it’s not something oblivious I’m missing but dealer has said it should be activated by default.

Yep it should be. Definitely on UK cars. I bet you that one bit isn't ticked in that module. Computer at fsctory may have just missed it or something.. Who knows.

Update!
Seems like there’s a little gremlin in some 2020 facelift versions.
My dealer originally told me that another FL model self locked when he drove away. However they’ve since tested another vehicle and it isn’t self locking.
So it’s getting raised by the dealer to Audi UK to speak to Germany.
Looks like it could be a little widespread.

Seems like there’s a little gremlin in some 2020 facelift versions.
My dealer originally told me that another FL model self locked when he drove away. However they’ve since tested another vehicle and it isn’t self locking.
So it’s getting raised by the dealer to Audi UK to speak to Germany.
Looks like it could be a little widespread.

Could be a bug in the software in Module 46...
