    Hi all,
After much excavation (and thinking it was the blower resistor at fault - which it definitely isn't) I have found that the rotary switch controlling my blower motor speed is broken.
I can operate the fan speeds by jumpering some of the pins on the plug going in the back of the control unit.

So, I am in need of a replacement heater control unit.
Problem - I can't find one anywhere. As of this morning I have tried 8 local breakers, and about the same number of A3 breakers listed on eBay.
None of them can help - most of them have A/C control units (which are obvs completely different), or they have the unit with only a single push button at the bottom
(for air recirc, while I have one for air recirc and one for the rear demister). Picture attached/below is the version I have.

I am not 100% sure but I think the plug "pinouts" are different on the single/dual button units, so it wouldn't even just be a case of inserting my (dual) buttons into a single-button unit.
I think something similar applies to the equivalent units from Seat Leons - different pinouts.

    So, questions -
    - Has anyone else had to replace this unit, and if so how/where did you source a replacement?
    - Does anyone have a wiring/pinout diagram for the plugs and wiring going to the back of this control unit.

Thanks VERY much for any help; I'm really stuck on this one.

    Cheers
    Jeroen

    No? Really?
    Ah well.
FWIW, I've managed to source a suitable replacement (8L0819045C). Eventually. In Lithuania.
Trouble is, the vast majority of these cars are apparently aircon ones, mine does not have aircon. The control units are crucially different.
