    I have just picked up (last week) and A8 D3 2007 4.2tdi.

However, the mirrors will not fold on the button. They move, dim and heat up OK, but will not fold when asked.
My question is... do the mirrors have a separate fuse? If so, which one and which holder is it in?

    AND

My boot motor opens fine, but the button on the boot will not close it. There is no movement in the button so I will probably replace the button first, but anybody else got some ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Are you actually turning the switch to the fold option?
As others have assumed that you push the button towards the fold option.

I had the same issue with the boot button. I stripped the button down and cleaned contacts and got it working, although yours maybe a different story, if like you say, there is no click.

Whilst I repaired the button, I also fitted relay, so that I can close via remote and button on drivers door card.

Oh definitely have moved the button down to the fold position with the engine running and not running. No difference.

I like the remote close on the boot. Would be such a logical and easy thing to do.

    Lol,
I had just read your other post, and thought... yep , I’m sure he knows you’ve got to turn the button and not push it down

I take it you like the A8’s

Another mod I have recently done which I really like , is recoding the daytime running lights, which then uses the feed from the side lights. allows the use of leds with no errors on dash.

The use of LEDs. Like it! I would prefer to fit LED bulbs, but the whinging dash would do me in.
I might come back to you on that one.

No worries on the wing mirror button push or fold! Lol!!

    And yes, love the A8s.
Look much better and classier than the BM 7 & Merc S equivalents. The interior is way ahead of them too.
