Cooling problems

A long shot. Is it a faulty thermostat, or did you fit it upside down?

I've tried 3 different thermostats and it's part of a housing so will only go on one way

Oh dear. Something has to be blocked/obstructed. All I can suggest is to check the cooling circuit bit by bit, starting with the most accessible parts, and not ignoring the highly improbable.

Not suggesting you're daft, but I have seen components installed with the protective sealing plugs still in place. Not necessarily the thermostat. What other parts have been replaced fairly recently?

Ok so I've done the cambelt and water pump, headgasket and thermostat. ive had every pipe off and checked for flow. I've also had it block tested and theres no fault there either

I missed that you had already done the head gasket, did you have the head refaced? Could you PM me the reg or post the VIN now please.

I did send you a reg via email. Will try pm you now. I've now flushed the system twice and fitted a new radiator. the fault still persists
