Hi, had my A6 BiTDi back today, 5 weeks since it broke down with turbo problems to find the drivers door handle does nothing, i had to open the door from the inside to get the drivers door open. Is this an easy fix? Or yet another warranty claim.....
its a 2012 with keyless entry, all the other doors open from outside.

The C6 used to suffer the same fault, would have hoped it was fixed on the C7.. Anyway it's most likely the door lock, the micro switches fail inside so the only option is to replace. If you have a warranty on the car just get them to replace it.

Thanks, a little disappointed how many times this car has been back to the dealer for problems. This will be 6th warranty claim since i brought it in June.

I’ve just repaired this same problem on my 2007 A8. Very common issue across all vag group cars.
I stripped my lock down, stripped the bigger of the 2 motors that controls the arm that allows you to unlock.
Checked the resistance across the motor, and there was dead spot.
Stripped the motor apart and cleaned the commutator .
This fixed the issue with dead spot in the motor, and has worked ever since.
