My son has a Polo 9n with 163k miles. I don't see the car very often. On recent visit to get car sorted for MOT I noticed clutch bite is very low, just after you start releasing the pedal after pushing it to the floor.
Clutch seems to work ok with no slipping but it feels a bit odd being so low until you get used to it.

I initially thought it was a sign of the clutch being nearly worn out with the mileage but the more I think about it I am not so sure as wouldn't the bite get higher as it wears?

Please can anyone educate me and suggest any problems to look for if it is not a worn out clutch.

Many thanks
