Pedestrian Protection system & adaptive cruise control help

The protection system was set off on my 2016 Q7, i’ve ordered new hinges but will i need to replace any of the impact sensors? Also can i reset the system using VCDS?

Next question is the the ACC, is it possible to calibrate this at home? Im fairly new to vcds so just finding my way around it.

Hi there, welcome

You can't reset ACC at home, it needs calibration at a dealer unfortunately but fairly common to do and takes about an hour. It can't be done with VCDS

Not aware of other impact sensors, there is one right behind the audi rings on the front grille but thats the impact sensor to trigger the airbags so if your airbags didnt go off (which I assume they havent) it should be fine

Best answer - you have VCDS, plug it in and do a full scan. Any impact sensor that needs replacing will be flagged under a DTC
