BITDI Rhythmic noise at 60mph+; auto ignition off

I’ve got a 2016 BITDi estate with ~28000 miles which I’ve had for about 6 months; I really like the car however it has two relatively trivial but annoying niggles:

the first is that when travelling at 60mph and above there is an annoying rhythmic noise; it seems to oscillate every second and gets More noticeable the faster I go; isn’t gear specific and also happens in neutral. The local dealer thinks it’s stepped tyres however in the past when I’ve had stepped tyres it’s been a constant drone that sounds like a wheel bearing. Has anyone else experienced this?

the other “feature” is that when I park up and the start stop turns the engine off if I open the drivers door the ignition doesn’t automatically turn off. Previously I had a 2016 golf that automatically turned the ignition off if the engine wasn’t running when the door was opened; my Passat does have keyless. Whilst this is trivial it is annoying and the car beeps when the door is open. Does anyone have a Passat that automatically shuts the ignition off when the door is open? The manual suggestions undoing seatbelt first but seems to make no difference.

Mine (2016) bongs and warns the ignition is on if you open the door without pressing the start/stop button to switch it off first. It has keyless stop/start but not keyless entry.

thanks, exactly the same as mine then. It so trivial but the Golf was better as just had to open the door and automatically turned ignition off
