Just updated my RNS315 to Europe West V11 and was disappointed to find that a major local road change from more than three years ago isn't included.

    Is this normal?
How long does it take for the map updates to reflect reality?

RNS315 maps V10 and V11 have issues with causing the headunit to reboot when used in most units. VW are aware of the problem and the only official answer is to downgrade to V9 again. To counteract this (and increase sales no doubt) some dodgy sellers have been rebranding V9 maps, changing version indicators, and selling them as V11 maps. Essentially, they report as the new V11 maps but the data is still from the old V9 maps. I suspect this might be your issue...

Thanks I wasn't aware of the V11 reboot problem, the V10 yes. Thanks for the info re 'dodgy' dealers, I was beginning suspect I may have been sold a mis-ID'd card. It sounds like I'm actually better off with a non-rebooting V9 as I don't have the original SD card, so couldn't have versioned back.

Cheers, and thanks again for the info.
