2012 VW CC 140 GT BM Turbo problem?

Hi all,

I was wondering if you guys have any advice to offer, as per title I have a CC.

I have just recently had my turbo reconditioned by midland turbo and fitting by a local engineer.

I have noticed within a week that there is a whistling noise from the turbo on cold start and occasionally intermittently. Once it’s been revved a few times it goes away and randomly comes back.

I am not seeing any black smoke, however I do get vapour like smoke on idle which doesn’t stink, this could be because of the cold weather and the engine having not heated up. Once driving there is no smoke. Just idle for a few moments when it’s cold start.

Can anyone offer any advice as the engineer has said it’s deffo not the turbo otherwise it would make the sound all the time.
