    In case you have not seen it elsewhere, on the C8 (and presumably other models with same system) to access the Engineering Menu you need to press the top RH corner of the upper touch screen with 2 fingers until the MMI system restarts. It will then be engineering mode. To select and access options you use the volume control, rotate to select and press to access.

    doesnt look you can do very much once you are in..? What does each menu option do?

    Agree there does not seem to be much you can do but it may help someone if they are trying to an update or activate additional features
