    If it was for any other purpose than facilitating electric cars it would be branded stupid and dangerous. Also, what is to stop some prankster unplugging it for a laugh so when you get back to your car it is flat? Or, unplugging it and plugging in their own car to steal the juice you are paying for? It’s completely unworkable.

    I remember this bin that kept getting smashed up by cars on the pavement .

    Yes, what happens WHEN, not if, someone hits one of these things? Perhaps Dr Who in the background can tell us....

    If the box gets ripped out of the ground? I don’t like high voltage electrickery, it is all going to end in a bad way... just google electric car fires, the results are scary, I don’t want one parked on my drive or in my garage.
