    Hello,

My 2012 seems to be having a mid life crisis.

Rear diff failure, air con compressor failure, all discs and pads in a matter of days and now the rear parking sensors have an issue.

THe sensors randomly started going off when i engage reverse.

I thought i would replace the sensors, and i have, but the problem remains.

All i have done is unplug old sensors and re connect new.

Is there anything else i can check ?

    Simon

Update - replaced all 4 sensors, moved them in different locations and still the same issue. Surely i do not have 4 new faulty sensors ? Simon

So i went to my local VW/Audi specialist (no dealer) who charged my £90 to look into this rear parking issue.

Diagnosed that all 4 of the sensors i had purchased were faulty.

    Odd...but not impossible.

    So i purchased another 4.

And the problem remains the same, so i do not believe 8 new sensors from 2 different suppliers can be faulty.

Anybody on the forum able to offer any help with this ?

    Simon

I think the best thing to do is to get someone with VCDS to scan the car for you. There are people on the forum who have it who might be local to you

    Vagcom/VCDS User Locations

    Good luck!
