    Hi
My new (to me) A4 B7 Avant was diagnosed by Audi (after £60 diagnosis and regas) as needing a new compressor - clutch was working, gas was good, econ button was off, pressure sensor was good, but compressor was u/s. Managed to get local Halfords to replace at half Audi price. Compressor now good (including regas), pipe in engine bay to bulkhead is cold and icy. However no cold air inside cabin. All servo motors seem to be moving. OBD11 check shows no error codes but probably needs VAG diagnostic? Is the evaporator a possible failure - something seems to be stopping air flowing over a cold evaporator, unless the evaporator is blocked - anyone come across this - replacement not realistic! Comments anyone?
