    hi

    i have a Audi A8 4.2 TDI. 2014.

i have a EGR excessive flow fault on bank 2. So i did some live data on vcds and it is showing both air flows meters the same on tickover but as soon as you rev up,bank 2 is drawing 300mg less air than bank 1.

so i took it to a garage who then connected it to ODIS and the technician told me he is 95% sure it is the EGR cooler. so if bank 2 air flow meter is drawing in about 300mg less air in than bank 1, it might mean the EGR cooler is blocked but wouldn't it mean that bank 2 was getting insufficient flow, not excessive flow.

    any help would be appreciated.

    THANKS

It is likely the entire inlet system is clogged solid upstream of each valve, a disgusting job to do.

i tell you what the technician did say.

performed full extensive ODIS diagnostic test plan.

results shows EGR COOLER mechanism arm partially seized which restricts the arm lever from fully opening/closing.

is there a arm in a EGR cooler that opens and closes.

Does this car have a raised and extended glass sided roof line designed to accommodate a large wooden casket?
