What shape E Class did you have? Always liked the Mercs, but still prefer Audis.

Prior to buying my A6 Avant.I did drive both the 5 Series & E Class.

I got it down to 5 Series & A6. But narrowed it down to Audi.

Then I was considering all variants of the A6 petrol & diesel

3.0 petrol was not availble, so it was down to 3.0 & 2.0 diesel.

I drove both 3.0 Sport & 2.0 S Line on extended test drives.

When i started doing the number crunching the 2.0 worked out £60 a month cheaper.

Coming from a stage 2 remapped SQ5 BiTdi. I really thought I would have gone for the 3.0 diesel over the 2.0. But it drove so so well.

So that was it. 2.0 fwd S Line was ordered.

Picked mine up on Saturday. S line 40 tdi quattro with no options (well Daytona Grey but nothing else). Great drive home and the DIS is showing just over 50mpg-not bad since that was the first miles on it. Should get better in a few months. Very comfortable and quiet. Well specced although I would have liked tech pack.
Current- A6 C8 40 tdi quattro s line Daytona Grey
    Gone-S3 sportback, A6 C7 biturbo saloon,A4 B 8.5 avant, A6 C6 3.0 tdi Quattro saloon, A6 C5 2.8 Q Avant

I clearly didnt get to “spec” mine as it was an ex demonstrator - but it has many if the toys anyway. I love the Tech pack although to be fair my last 3 Audis have all been Daytona Grey. Love that colour on an Audi. Happy driving

Very comfortable and the matrix LEDs are quite impressive-nobody flashed me and just left them on auto. The engine feels very good and not too underpowered. Handling is better than expected too. Seems like it could be the perfect car for us - commuting and motorway journeys. After driving the S3 down it was a big difference driving back-quiet and smooth.
This is my 4th A6 and definitely the best (although the bitdi had the best engine). Also very happy it came with Michelin PS4 tyres.
Would have liked the tech pack but for the discount I can live without it-maybe less to go wrong!
Got it from Carlisle Audi - very good service. Dealt with a guy called Kingsley Grandison who was great.

    Congrats!!! Collect mine later today.

Love Daytona Grey & very nearly ordered this time round.

My current SQ5 Plus is Monsoon Grey, but fancied a change. I decided on Ibis White & think it really works well in S Line trim.

I decided against Quattro as it's not perm 4wd in the 2.0. Also the added benefit of the extra weight save & improved mpg allowed me to tick more options :-)

Hi Scott, thanks for your feedback. 5hrs to go!!

    The light are fantastic!
Made full use of them on my loan car.

Also, the led lighting pack & virtual cockpit look simply stunning at night.

The B&O sound system is amazing & well worth the extra cost.

Agreed on the engine. I will miss the BiTdi lump :-)

And hope mine comes with PS4's

Still unsure if I should debadge the rear. Mrs Rappy thinks I'm being far to OCD.

I was thinking I might debadge mine. Much easier for washing and the 40 tdi is a bit naff - nobody understands it!
First time I have had a standard audi sound system and seems ok.

Only had a quick 30 min drive & so far so good! :-)

Car came with Conti CSC6. Tyres seemed perfectly fine to me, but was hoping for PS4's.

Agree about the badging, my neighbour just had a chat & said nice new car! I guess that drinks the fuel being a 4.0 lol! I'm thinking for the comedy value to keep the badges. He asked where are the side badges like your SQ5 but V8T as your new one is a 4.0 Do I now order SQ7 V8T badges lol lol. (Only joking)

    I'm still on the fence.

    So, do I....

    1) Debadge all
    2) Keep A6 badge
    3) Debadge 40
