    Hey everyone,

Can anyone confirm what I think I already know lol
Does my model of passat have magnetic abs relucter rings on the front and back?

I've been trying to fix an abs fault for a while with no success as I've had it plugged in and then changed 2 different speed sensors.

Upon changing the back offside sensor I came across a bit of what I'm now sure was a bit of corroded abs ring that fell away from the back of the disk.

I'm thinking now that at least the 2 rings on the wheels I've changed the sensors on are rotten and are causing the fault rather than the sensors?

I'm pretty sure they have the rings on the front and back but the only reason I'm not sure is someone told me the back ones are built into the bearing? So then what was the bit of ring that fell away?

    I own a 56 plate 2.0 TDI saloon passat b6

    Cheers

Yes, and they rot because they are magnetic and made from Ferous metal.

    Cheers Crasher.

Is it a case of caliper and disk off then drive shaft out on the front and on the back caliper, disk and bearing off?

Auto Doc videos only show procedural and tool aspects and omit torque specs and which parts should be renewed.

Renew hub bolt. Usual for them come in the bearing kits but not always.
