    Hi,

recently acquired a 2010 (facelift) Q7 which has a couple of electrical issues. I've done some basic fault finding and internet searching without success so putting it out there to see if there's any ideas on how to fix / fault find before sending to a shop.

    The issues are:

Driver information Display in centre of instrument cluster not working. It has been intermittent for some time, randomly working then not without any obvious reasons but now appears to have failed fully. Have considered need to replace LED but failure coincides with steering wheel fault below and can't identify common link that may explain both occurring at same time.
additional faults at the same time is the is the audible warnings for systems such as lights on with door open doesn't work.

Multi function steering wheel control on the LH side (mode and scroll / select button). These controls we intermittent in time with the driver information display fault and now a hard failure. Note radio volume control and speech input button on RH side of the steering wheel works fine. Again can look to replace switch but it occurring in time with the display issue suggests its from a central controller issue etc.

    Any help appreciated.

    thanks
    Greg
