Hi guys, it's time to replace tyres (255/35 R20) and I'm thinking of Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3. The thing is, Goodyear tyres are "J" homologated, and Dunlop are "generic". Will I have any issues in each case? What does that "Jaguar optimisation" means on Goodyear? Don't want to go with AO Pirelli...

I run the same Goodyear F1 "Jaguar" tyres on my A6, no issues at all. Curious as to why would there be an issue, all tyres have to conform to the same standards? The fact Jaguar paid Goodyear a wodge of money to design tyres for their cars shouldn't matter a jot.

And other people don’t even give a passing thought to fitting Yingtong Slipgrips or Yangtang Ditchfinders to an RS6 mapped to 700PS, go figure as an American might say....

Me too, based on your recommendation a while back. Cheaper than the Contis I used to use and a huge rim protector strip.
