    Good Evening all,
I am looking for recommends for "memory savers" in case I need to change the boot mounted battery in my 2012 Audi A8, in order to avoid the necessity for code resets.
Apparently it plugs into the OBD II port and connects to an independent 12 Volt battery - then the boot mounted battery can be disconnected and a new one inserted without risk of needing a reset. The price of them varies widely from a few quid on fleabay to over a £100
I look forward to your replies
    Joe

in the end i purchased one off fleabay for just over £7 and it does the job - made sure it worked by setting it up correctly and then disconnected and reconnected the agm battery - dont know about what would happen if the battery was flat - we'll see
