    Hi All
My Q7 e-tron is just out of 3 year warranty (I bought it at a year old demonstrator /1,500 miles on the clock from Audi) .
It suits my needs well, well specified launch edition e-tron/ many days all electric, and no range issues when long trips arise. Have around 32k miles covered.

I had one major warranty issue, inverter failed/ a 7k part

So the question is to buy extended warranty or not??
Normally I would never consider this, but it might provide a certain reassurance.

    Audi have quoted:
    £572 for 12 months
    £991 for 24 months
    £1317 for 36 months

I am inclined to run with this, but appreciate for many this is irrelevant due to PCP, etc.

    Thanks!!

Buy...I’ve had on previous cars and used it and king run its saved me cash.

I’ll buy for the Q7 when mine is up soon

Don’t forget your looking at £150+ labour rates if anything does go wrong

I didn't know that there is a multi year option! The 3-year option looks really good value (I assume it is 0 excess?) if you are expecting to keep the car for that long (don't think the extended warranty is transferable if the car is sold).

I think it would be good investment having read how expensive to fix things if they go wrong, it is just an insurance policy and it provides the continuity of the official warranty. Having said that, things covered are less than the initial 3-year factory warranty.

For me, I have been quoted £3xx with £250 excess and £5xx with no excess for 1 year from the official Audi Extended Warranty website - I went with the first option mainly just to preserve the said continuity of the official warranty status, and hoping nothing would go wrong for the year as the car has been solid so far and it is still relatively young and low mileage *touch wood*. If unfortunate enough, anything minor considering Audi might throwing goodwill etc etc, I can pay the bill myself if < the excess and I still have protection against any big ticket item go wrong. As the car gets older, I will review again and consider reducing the excess as I would expect higher chance of things go wrong with possible multiple claims within a year.

I would go with the three year option if I have been offered that, it works out only £4xx per year.

Please don't take it as an offense, but if you see this price for one issue - then what is the question?

Purchasing insurance is probably a fairly efficient way of ensuring nothing goes wrong :-)

I have the 1 ear all component cover and just needed it on coolant valve replacement, saved me £1500 after excess, so already pair for itself 3x.

Audi Extended Warranty Website is quoting me £700 for 1 year for £250 excess for All Component Cover. £500 for Named Component Cover with £250 excess

Not sure how good that is in comparison....

Hey Andy, that the prices they quote for cars still have lots of factory warranty left (too early) or already out of factory warranty for more than a month (too late).

If you quote around 1 month just before the factory warranty expires, the standard prices are £300 for All Comp with £250 excess or £500 All Comp £0 excess. Named Comp will even be cheaper.

I can confirm, I just renewed (my second year) extended warranty and got it for the same ~£500 (All component 100 excess) as the first year.

I think that’s roughly when I did mine 4 months ago. I paid £375.48 for comp, £250 excess and 10k miles. That was via the website.
