    Hi all,

Car is a 2008 B6 Passat Estate with 1.9TDi BXE Engine with approx 131K miles.

Not too sure if the VDCS forum is the correct place for this. If not, please can a Mod move it - thanks.

I ran a scan - nothing particularly exciting found - Air con pressure low.

    Cleared all the codes.

The Service Reminder kept coming up although she was fully serviced a few weeks ago. I guess the garage didn't reset it properly so I did what I though was a straightforward Service Reset

All appeared to go OK then I saw the "trA612" where the mileage normally is.

The third character looks like an A maybe R? definitely not an 8.

    Erm....

What have I gone into by mistake and/or messed up?

I'll post some logs if you let me know which ones might help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Andy.

Never seen that, very odd. Do a scan of the SRI data and post it.

    OK.

    Here goes:

    All a bit weird.

The time only moved on when the car was running and the date was locked on 10-09-19.

Anyway, did another Service Reset and it seems to have sorted itself out.

Mileometer back to showing total mileage and the clock showing the correct time, all the time.

It is on variable servicing so the reset figures look confusing, the stabilise after a few weeks and miles. I reset them all to fixed annual 9300 mile now to protect the engine.

    Cheers mate.

That's what I wanted it on - don't like the variable thing.

    Thanks.

    Andy.
