    Hi,
I have an old a4 1995 witch central locking, pump number is 4A0862257A, with single vaccum line.
When I got the car, all wires to door and lock switch in passenger door were cut, I have patched them togheter now BUT the central locking only works for locking car, not unlocking.
I have also tried directly to ground wires on pump connector, and I can trigger pump on 3 wires but the pump only runs in one direction and blowing air, newer succing any vaccum so I guess thats why I can only get doors to lock. Door lock swithes is only 2 wires grounding type. What is controlling the direction of vaccum pump? Is it the electronics inside pump?

If you reverse polarity does the pump run in reverse?
