Hi there just got a 1.9 TDS 130 estate, usual problems, key unlocks drivers door manually, locks all but that’s it, I know there is a multitude of posts about ccm, my immediate issue is no temp guage at all, so assuming it’s the sender unit. Have had cover off engine, and can’t see it... can anyone point me in the right direction! Appreciated Adam

Its the sender unit. I changed it recently on my 2.5 TDi, costs about 7 euros, should be about the same price for 1.9. On the 2.5 is on the top of the engine, easy for DIY, don't know where its located on 1.9.
It was 2 in 1 sender unit. One wire goes to the instrument cluster so you can see the temperature yourself, the other in the ecu to help control the fuel quantity.

So have changed the temperature sensor, still nothing, plenty heat coming out so not thermostat. I guess it’s a wire or the guage.. is there a fuse for it? Grasping at straws now...

Did you change both the thermostat and the temp sensor?
Temp sensor is at back of block above the cat

If you have changed the sensor in the plastic housing on the back of the head you now need suitable diagnostic equipment to view the live data at the instruments and the engine ECU.
