    Sorry @Crasher just want to double check on the sensor it is the black wire which is the earth ??

    From memory no, black would be ignition live BUT that is not concrete, I would need to check the book of words.

    There is no black wire according to the wiring diagram on ELSA. Pin 1 is the G42 earth and is the same one as goes to the DPF pressure sensor, it is a brown wire. The G42 output is yellow and this goes to the ECU via a 4 pin socket/plug known as T4bf but helpfully the diagram does not say where this is, from memory it is on a bracket on the gearbox below the starter motor. The other two wires violet at pin 4 and grey/black at pin 3 are for the pressure sensor G31. From the symptom, experience and the diagram, I would be surprised if the problem was not in that four pin plug.
