Where did you check the wiring? Ive seen wires split when you open the boot and look up at the top left and top right corners. Get a scan done and see if it throws a clue.

    His
    HOT THAT CLEAR YOUR MESSAGE.
if the wires are split or broken then somethings in the boot will not work properly.
For instance the rear wiper, locking latch for rear boot and the heated rear window.
All the wiring goes through the top left and right hand boots.

I had a good one a few months ago, a Toledo 2 V5 with the engine light on and a brake light circuit fault, in the end a blown fuse. The fuse kept randomly blowing over the next few weeks and had me pulling my hair out. In the end I found it was the boot mounted brake lights and if you opened the boot with your foot on the brake (?) the wires shorted inside the moulded tube. I made a quick fix and then ordered a new harness from Seat which they made specially and sent over in about a month.
